On Attend, written, directed and produced by Dimitri Sterkens, is a captivating film that broaches the sensitive subject of refugees. We look through the eyes of the young African Camille (Jennifer Heylen) who tries to cross the border in order to reunite with her family. However, she gets trapped in the no-man’s-land between the several customs. After each check up Camille is forced to pass under a shower, which causes the stamp on her new passport to dissolve and forces her to restart the whole procedure all over again. On Attend is a dark, conceptual approach to the burocracy and infinity for those who are at the borders without documents. A story that makes one reflect on refugees' situations.
