Passy staat aan het hoofd van Aidprofen (Actions et initiatives de développement pour la protection de la femme et de l’enfant), een ngo in Oost-Congo die opkomt voor vrouwenrechten en de strijd aangaat tegen seksueel geweld. Haar doel: het politieke engagement van jongeren en vrouwen vergroten zodat ze weerbaarder worden en voor zichzelf opkomen. #changemakers
Samen met Radio Maendeleo, een radiostation in de provincie Zuid-Kivu in Congo, geeft Thaïs Bagula een stem aan lokale gemeenschappen en ngo's. Zo wordt het volk aan de hand van politieke debatten geïnformeerd over de verkiezingen. Thaïs is de directeur van Radio Maendeleo, maar is eveneens zelf journalist bij de zender. Zijn programma'Vrede en Ontwikkeling' analyseert en vergelijkt standpunten rond ieders rechten en verantwoordelijkheden. Het succes van dit programma zorgde voor het algemeen succes van de zender. #changemakers

On Attend, written, directed and produced by Dimitri Sterkens, is a captivating film that broaches the sensitive subject of refugees. We look through the eyes of the young African Camille (Jennifer Heylen) who tries to cross the border in order to reunite with her family. However, she gets trapped in the no-man’s-land between the several customs. After each check up Camille is forced to pass under a shower, which causes the stamp on her new passport to dissolve and forces her to restart the whole procedure all over again. On Attend is a dark, conceptual approach to the bureaucracy and infinity for those who are at the borders without documents. A story that makes one reflect on refugees' situations. DOG TAGS | a proof of concept by Dimitri Sterkens DOG TAGS is a WWII thriller TV series about British RAF pilot James Evans who needs to escape Germany after crashing his plane behind enemy lines, stealing the uniform and dog tags of a dying German soldier called Otto Siegmann, and ending up in the hospital after an explosion on the battle field.
